Not a single one of us are getting out of this alive! Not a single one of us is guaranteed even tomorrow. What we have through His grace is a daily reprieve based on our spiritual condition. This does not justify nor allow us to live carefree and carelessly but to live. God tells us not to fret over yesterday nor worry about tomorrow but in other words live one day at a time. Last Thursday a group of us met with a member that had been fighting cancer for a long time and was finally told she had about 3 more months. We gathered around her in prayer anointing her head with oil. She went to be with the lord that following Saturday afternoon. She truly lived faithfully one day at a time…. For that His promises to her were fulfilled .
Be present in the moment. Living in the past is where the guilt shame and pain are. Living in the future is where anxiety and fear is.
Focus on the here and now, sometimes finding the lessons in the struggles of the past and blessings of today!
